ABOUT
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide you with tools and resources to help you find clarity, peace, and support on your wellness journey.
Inspired by the wisdom of people living with chronic illness and health issues, caregivers, health care professionals, and healers, we offer journals to help you capture, clarify and change your symptoms, and track and improve your well-being.
WHY WELLNESS WOO?
When living with chronic illness or a health challenge, wellness can certainly feel very woo-like -- hidden, unknown and beyond our reach.
It is then that embracing the woo, particularly alternative medicine, becomes oh-so important to recover one’s health and reach optimal wellness.

Our motto: Wellness woo...bring it on!
Meanings
Wellness: "the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal."
Woo: variant form of woo-woo:
1. "relating to or holding unconventional beliefs regarded as having little or no scientific basis, especially those relating to spirituality, mysticism, or alternative medicine."
2. "Woo defies easy definition. It is that which is beyond your mental grasp, that which eludes; the where we place everything that is hidden from us, including all we hide from ourselves. It is the source of all, yet is denied by everyone. It is obvious and apparent, but never known, only discovered. It is in front of your face but only visible by looking behind your eyes."
MY STORY
When I noticed changes in my health, I started tracking my symptoms with a petrol station wall calendar. This evolved to using a blank journal to also capture my nutrition, supplements, sleep, activities, and gratitude reflections. This was immensely helpful for:
-
preparing health care appointments
-
following recommendations, including diets and supplements
-
referencing and remembering information
-
clarifying my symptoms
-
changing my protocols and lifestyle
-
making and sustaining progress.
By documenting my potpourri of symptoms, setbacks, and other details, I was able to find patterns and make changes, move forward, and ultimately find light at the end of the tunnel.

During my health recovery journey, I struggled to find a journal to meet my needs, including online solutions. Journals, apps, spreadsheets and trackers were either too narrowly focused on one issue/health condition, too clinical or limited in scope. Most were unsubtle (hello world, I'm unwell!). They also did not offer a way to track both the “good stuff”, i.e., my daily healthy habits and the “not so good stuff”, i.e., symptoms, setbacks etc. The idea to create a comprehensive and discreet journal, focused on the good, the bad and the ugly, was born. An analogue solution for my fellow paper lovers and the digitally overloaded community.

The creation of this journal has been a labour of love. From choosing Wellness Woo as a business name (inspired by the expression woo-woo that always makes me smirk) to sourcing a printing company, I’m thrilled to offer this journal that strikes a balance between tracking everyday health information to find insights and make changes, while focusing on health pillars to reach optimal wellness.

The journal draws on the experience and knowledge of people living with chronic illness and health issues, caregivers, health care professionals and healers. It’s been vetted, tested and has gone through multiple iterations to ensure its comprehensive, pertinent and easy to use. Feedback on how we can improve and better serve your needs is always welcome: hello@wellnesswoo.com.au

The Write to Feel Right Journal is a flexible tool. You may only want to track your supplements and symptoms, or perhaps just your food intake, or much more. Capture as little or as much as you want: leave sections blank, doodle or track something else.
If you’re living with chronic illness or health issues, or if you’re looking to take your health up a notch, my hope is that the Write to Feel Right Journal will give you some clarity, peace, and support on your wellness journey.
In health,
Claire
